Dr. Jason Kirk’s connection with the hospital began in October 2018, when he joined the team as a high school intern. He later worked part time as a Veterinary Assistant beginning in 2019 before leaving to attend college. Now returning as an Associate Veterinarian, Dr. Kirk brings both a longstanding familiarity with the practice and a strong commitment to providing thoughtful, high-quality care.

His professional interests include dentistry, dermatology, and preventive medicine. With every patient visit, Dr. Kirk aims to work collaboratively with pet owners, recognizing that every animal is a valued family member and companion. He is passionate about helping pets live long, happy lives while giving their owners the education and resources they need to make informed decisions about their care.

Dr. Kirk earned his undergraduate degree from the University of St. Thomas in 2023, where he majored in Biology and minored in General Business. He went on to attend the University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2026. He is also a member of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association.

Originally from Katy, Texas, Dr. Kirk knew from an early age that he wanted to work with animals. His interest in veterinary medicine grew during high school as he learned more about the profession and gained hands-on experience. He also volunteered at local animal shelters before pursuing his veterinary career.

For Dr. Kirk, one of the most rewarding parts of veterinary medicine is building relationships with pets and their owners and helping those animals enjoy long, fulfilling lives. Outside of work, he enjoys improving his fitness, fishing, and creating and studying visual art. He is guided by the philosophy, “The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.
